Biography
Aito Mäkinen (4 January 1927 – 30 January 2017) was a Finnish film director, screenwriter and film producer. He directed more than 45 films between 1963 and 1999. His 1964 film, Onnelliset leikit, was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival.

Work

On a road trip across Finland, Jari stops in a small town where he meets Marja. The young people continue their journey together all the way to Haaparanta, until a police raid reveals that Jari's car is stolen. Their escape takes them even further north, where they team up with a gold miner.

A film in two episodes. The first, "Juulia", is a young woman's stylish reminiscence of her brief summer romance, set in some of the most chic design locations around Helsinki. The second episode "Tikku", a seemingly semi-improvised comedy, takes an overworked housewife, her three children and her lazy husband out of the city to spend the weekend at the mother-in-law's.
