A wealthy man gets hurt on a hunting trip and is restored to health by a rural herbalist. He falls in love with the herbalist and promises to come back for her, but years pass and he never returns. But when the old man is rushed to a hospital with a heart attack, it is the herbalist’s granddaughter, Xie Fu An, who also is an herbal doctor, who treats the man and saves him. When he realizes how much Fu An looks like the woman he fell in love with years ago, he announces that he will give away his entire fortune to the man who marries Fu An. The man’s grandson, Yan Da Feng, an arrogant young man who assumed he would inherit the wealth, is alarmed when he hears the news and hires someone to go kill this young woman who is about to steal his fortune. However, after meeting Fu An, he begins to fall for her and decides to marry her himself. But can Da Feng stop the wheels he set in motion to harm Fu An and hope to have a happy ending with her?
Chia Le, a rich 'barbie girl', finally finds her hero, who suddenly appears and blocks a truck for her. However, he doesn't love her back. To get closer to him, Chia Le starts working in the same company as him, while her childhood friend, Bao Lung, is secretly in love with her.
Due to a combination of bad writing, unnecessary and distracting directorial gimmicks (split screens, black & white, slow motion, etc.) and very inept subtitling, "West Down Girls" is almost completely impossible to follow, but I think it has something to do with the rivalry between two girls who are members of opposing street gangs, and the arrival on the scene of a third girl who is the childhood friend of one of them and the sister of the other. The (very few) action scenes are a complete mess. The film is basically an over-the-top melodrama and makes very little sense. I was too frustrated to even enjoy the beauty of Cheryl Yang and Annie Wu.

With Siao-lu’s classmate Yu-Tin’s (played by Gigi Lin) help Siao-lu finds coach Chang who trains disabled player. Siao-lu happens to know coach Chang is Jie’s father. Even though she wants to help them to reconcile, she couldn’t find a way. On the other hand, she has her own thinking towards her dream. On her 20 years’ old birthday, she announces her plan of receiving training to her family. Although her mother is against it, with her sister’s help, Xiao-Lu finally convinces her mother with doctor’s approval; her mother approves her request reluctantly Flinging into the training completely, Siao-lu doesn’t pay attention to the change of her body condition. On the eve of the competition, fate forces Siao-lu to compete with time. Can Siao-lu accomplish her dream? Can Jie and Coach Chang reconcile? Can Siao-lu complete the training and the competition with her love and courage in her heart ?
