Pepa is a fifty-year-old civil servant living with his family in an ordinary district town. Pepa is somewhat henpecked, lacking respect even from his wife, let alone his daughter. The path to the goal is sometimes very thorny, and so we follow a series of more or less futile and tragicomic attempts by Pepa, the outsider hero, to finally start living his life. Will he manage to find answers to the questions "Why is he in the world? When does real life begin? After birth, after graduation, after first sex, after marriage or children? Or only after death?"

Čenda and Jana don't have it easy in life. They're both unemployed, Čenda is up to his ears in debt, and the most frequent visitor to their home is the debt collector. But that's about to change thanks to a lottery ticket blessed by a priest. A fairy-tale win of 176 million crowns opens the door to a world of unlimited possibilities for the couple. But it also brings a lot of new friends who would like to get a big piece of the prize.

When on the mountains, so to Špindl. In the snowy Špindlerův Mlýn the sisters Eliška, Katka and Magda go to the women's ride in the full-length winter comedy Špindl. They plan to enjoy relaxation, fun and perhaps a bit of love adventure. Eliška is fine, but Katka and Magda were already thirty and are still single. Does the right one appear in winter snow? It is certain that they will meet other participants and entertaining figures, and during the weekly stay, all of them will get an avalanche of love and livelihoods.

Silvie is a successful doctor who believes she has finally found the recipe for a happy relationship. Renata is the wife of a well-known writer. In her courses, she gives other women the courage and strength to live better lives, but one crucial element is missing from her own life. Actress and dancer Eliška is at the beginning of a promising career, but her relationship with her boyfriend, a musician, is becoming complicated... And the guys from the mountain rescue service are always ready to help. Where else could all these stories intersect and be resolved than in snowy Špindlerův Mlýn?
