It turns out as their most dangerous and toughest adventure ever! the professional Freeskiers Phil Meier, Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr try to reach the Island Onekotan far out in stormy seas to ski the most unique Peak in the World.
The Austrian Freeride skiers and adventurers Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr, both with several first descents all around the globe under their belt, now embark on a mission to ski some of the steepest walls in their home mountains, The Alps. Years before both were even born, those walls were ridden by dauntless young mountaineers. Now, more than 30 years later, Hauni and Matthias meet up with their predecessors and compare conditions now and then and try to ski with the gear of the past as well as with their actual Hi Tec gear. Due to global warming, conditions changed a lot the past years and to ski this walls became even more dangerous. The North Face of Zillertals highest Summit, the "Hochfeiler“ and the most famous ice climbing route in Austria, the "Pallavicini Couloir“ located at Austria ́s highest mountain, "Großglockner“ are the main objectives.
Freeskiers and adventurers Matthias "Hauni" Haunholder and Matthias Mayr accomplished their personal mission impossible. They skied the "Gora Pobeda", highest Peak of Eastern Siberia, as first human beings.
Antarctica is the coldest. driest and windiest and has the highest elevation of all continents. Usually only scientists, polar explorers or mountaineers to climb Mt. Vinson have been travelling to Antarctica. Now to freeskiers dare to ski Big Mountain Lines inside the continent.
Seeking to find the most beautiful and remote places on panet earth the two adventurers Matthias „Hauni“ Haunholder and Matthias Mayr were once again successful. Less than 800 kilometres away from the north pole you can find the Arctic Cordillera. It is the most northern mountain range of the world, located on Ellesmere Island. Getting there and skiing the most northern slopes in the world is Hauni’s and Matthias’ next major goal... They set themselves the goal to ski the most northern slopes of our planet. Simply getting there is an adventure. The north of Ellesmere Island isn’t only one of the most remote places on earth but also one of the most cold. The island is home to polar bears and arctic wolves. On their journey up north the two adventurers don’t only face major athletic challenges but also meet up with the Inuit who actively support their plans. Furthermore they have to accept that they won’t be taking on the role of the alpha leader on this trip...
