Based on the novel "Tale" by Dervis Susic. Tale is a former partisan, an honest man and a rogue. His return to hometown immediately creates a bunch of new problems.

Two friends dream of what they will do when they become adults. One friend dreams of travelling to far off places, but stays at home. The other one leaves and sends him postcards from exotic locations, with descriptions of impossible adventures. But, his friend at home engages in a passionate love affair with his beautiful young landlady. When his friend-the traveller returns he admits he may have exaggerated about some of his adventure stories.. The two friends continue on dreaming of new excitements.

A tale of dirty filmmakers' job, constructed in the form of collage consisting of authentic events, movie document, while also being an experiment. In the movie, real writer Radoslav Pavlovic and film director Dusan Sabo play themselves as other people, and others as themselves. They're trying to make a film about Kosovo... Tragic story of the brave woman Todora. Germans penetrated into the village. Villagers flee into the forest and a brave Todora rushes to the German tank and crosses the ball screen. Soldiers captured, and raped her. Her father Radul dispels the Germans, kills some of them and gets killed himself. Freedom arrives, Todora gives birth to son. Farmers despise the evaded, and her father intends to creates a memorial statue.

A young man leaves his village and goes to live in the urban outskirts. While changing one job after another, it turns out he's good for nothing and fails to keep it. On top of that, his girlfriend gets pregnant, and he decides to go back living on the farm again.

Despite the war, deep in the mountain there is a small railway station from which logs are taken from. Occasionally, gunfire is heard from the surrounding forests between partisans and Germans. Refusing to accept the reality, the station chief wants to maintain his established peace.
