A perfect couple rents a holiday home on a sunny Italian island. The reality does not live up to their expectations when they find out that the pool in the house is broken. Ignorant of the fact that the island faces water shortage, they ask for someone to fix it. The constant presence of a stranger invades the couple's idea of safety and starts a chain of events, which makes them act instinctively and irrationally, heading to the darkest place in their relationship.

A vacation in Åland takes a sudden turn when the husbands of two couples disappear one by one, leaving their partners alone on the island in the middle of a sudden ecological disaster. The oil accident in the Baltic Sea forces the women to work together even though distrust of the locals, the police and each other grows.

Anna and her partner have well-paid jobs, intense sex and go jogging every other morning. They live comfortable yet monotonous bourgeois life. That makes Anna slowly fall apart.
