Mohammad Ali Najafi

Sarbedaran is a historic series based on the revolt of the 'Sarbedar's of Khorasan, led by Sheykh Hasan Jowri against the Mongol Conquest of Iran. The director of this series is Mohammad Ali Najafi and it is written co-directed by Keyhan Rahgozar. Parts of this series also refer to the previous leader and the pioneer of the movement, Sheykh Khalifa of Mazandaran.

In the middle of the Islamic revolution of Iran in 1979 Captain Kalali who was in jail because of being a Communist is getting release from the prison. But he is after Keymaram the former leader of them who had betrayed them to kill him. Captain goes to Isfahan and manages to kill him and then after that he meets his wife and children who were away from him for a long time.

Sahar, after the death of her mother, who was once a famous singer, goes to Tehran and begins searching with her friend. The only clue she finds is a man named Taher, who used to be her father’s steward and now runs his own business...
