A princess is born to the king and queen of a fairy-tale kingdom. The wicked witch, who resents not having been invited to the princess's birthday party, curses her: on the day the princess turns 16, she will be pricked by the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into eternal sleep. The king orders that all spinning wheels in the kingdom be destroyed and the number 16 be taken out of use. However, a young traveling prince arrives, bringing a curse with him.

After Mick Nich, a 1930's Chicago gangster, sells out his own gang to the police, the Mafia hires the best hitman in town, Johnny Pollack, to follow him to Odessa, USSR. Upon arrival, Pollack loses his memory and goes on various adventures with a group of thick-headed Odessa locals who think he is a harmless butterfly collector.

The first private enterprises are started in the Soviet Union in the late 80s. A gang of bad guys, owners of a private restroom, kidnap a good guy - owner of a toy store. Private eye Dmitri's first job is to try and free the store owner.

The protagonist of the film - Vasily Derzhakov - is a skilled worker. Accustomed to "double morality" as the norm of life, he succumbs to the persuasion of Anna's mistress to hide the stolen things, and becomes an accomplice in crime. After the pre-trial detention, Vasily is released from prison ... Thus, life itself warned him against further mistakes, to which the immoral "norms" of existence inevitably lead.

Dasha is thirty, disappointed in men, and wants to bring a child into the world from a very handsome guy with good genes. During the searches, Dasha meets a good fellow, a tv repair specialist. He falls in love with Dasha, but it seems that he does not fully conform to her requirements, so she goes on with her odyssey.
