Born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1975. Former professional boxer. Former No. 1 in the Japanese lightweight division. He had an unusual past, becoming a professional boxer after removing the tattoos on his upper body with skin transplants from his buttocks, and when he made his debut he became a hot topic throughout Japan as the "tattoo boxer." His career record was 21 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw in 27 fights. In 2005 he retired from active competition due to repeated retinal detachments, and with the support of director Toyoda Toshiaki he turned to film acting.
