Biography
Abhimanyu Dixit is an accomplished filmmaker, educator, and campaigner with over ten years of experience in the Nepali film industry. He is a 2022 Rotterdam Lab alumnus and has earned numerous accolades at international Nepali film festivals. Currently, he serves as the COO of Gauthali Entertainment, a feminist-oriented media company he co-leads with his business partner, Sahara Sharma. His professional background includes significant work in film promotion and curation, having served as a coordinator for the Nepal Cine Symposium in 2012 and as the Programming Director for the Ekadeshma International Short Film Festival in 2016. Beyond production, he is a dedicated academic who teaches at Kathmandu University’s film and media studies department and maintains a presence in journalism as a regular film reviewer for The Kathmandu Post.
