arc refers to a process rather than an author. a curve within a void which makes something momentarily visible. material elements used to investigate immaterial states. framing the space of encounter as a site of unfixed ritual and sensory research. arc work has been presented at The Lab, San Francisco Cinematheque, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Mass Art Film Society (Boston), NDSM Treehouse (Amsterdam) and L’Abominable (Paris/La Courneuve), among other venues.

A film concerned with the chaotic sphere of disengagement invoked by the threatened subsumption of the sensitive and vibrational biorhythm into the cold and regulated logic of algorithmic capitalist automation. Explored through abyssal bridges of language. Towards the conspiratorial, intersubjective, and irregular oscillations of life as resistance.

A film made in collaboration with Sophia Wang. Originally developed as an intermedia/movement piece in 2014, which circles around the works of Theresa Hak Kyung Cha. The word image, the breath of speech, the gesture of movement, looked back on from ‘before name’, ‘between name’ and beyond classification as purely didactic vessels.

A dual projector performance with live accompanying sound. The images – two film loops of thin black and white lines – begin to dance, bend and break through the crystal prisms of refracted light.

the luminous interval creates a parallel light upon extinguishing. an internal radiation of the elements absorbed. image and afterimage. the crystalline impermanence of the phosphene. the scratch as wound of time, history inscribed within the image, revealing light. the frame as the infinite fragment of a world hovering outside of time. a window on to eternity. the forces that remain after the passage of the vessel.
