Eight participants are placed in an underground bunker for a psychological experiment. In a twist of irony, the world ends and they are now trapped in the bunker with nowhere to go.

Jo, a witty 9-year old terminally ill girl is taken back to her rural village to live out the rest of her short life. Her only comfort during these dull times are her dreams of being a superhero, which prove to be something her rebellious teenage sister Mwix, overprotective mother Kathryn and the entire village of Maweni think they can fulfill.

Geoffrey, 12, and his brother Kimanthi, 15, have to travel to Shimoni to bury their grandmother. It is a most dreadful journey for the two as it will bring them face to face with the man who sexually molested them years ago.

Two strangers in Nairobi instantly connect over humor and heartbreak fall in love, only to discover that understanding someone is easy at the beginning but it gets much harder when marriage, pride, and unspoken expectations take hold.
