In 1993, Senior Inspector Yeung Kwong-yiu was investigating a series of gruesome murders when he mysteriously traveled to 2018. Finding his wife and daughter missing and his past cases unresolved, he was reinstated with the help of former leader Sir Yip. Teaming up with Chan Hoi-ching, who had a unique approach to investigations, and the stoic Cheung Tin-ming, Kwong-yiu began to notice unsettling similarities between a new murder case and the cases he had previously investigated. As he delved deeper, he sensed a larger conspiracy and was determined to uncover the truth and seek justice.

Lead actress Angelica Lee participates in the Chief Executive election bearing her husband’s mission of selfless diplomacy and constant pursuit of fairness on her shoulders. Unfortunately, the reality of society causes her to be drawn into a complicated predicament – on one side, she must deal with internal conflicts within her team while on the other, she must fend off constant attacks from her political opponent Liu Kai Chi. After enduring numerous obstacles, she discovers that it is impossible to separate friend from foe. In that sense, the interweaving of love and hate, humanity and self-interest between the characters precisely mirrors the reality of today’s society. As an outside threat approaches, estranged sisters must unite, setting aside old grudges to protect their family and find their own paths in a rapidly changing world.

The movie features three ghost stories set in Hong Kong, beginning with Vivian, who, after moving into a new place, gets involved in spooky incidents with her neighbours. The next story follows Scarlet, who unknowingly receives a tattoo with sinister secrets. The final story is about a group of university students, who awaken the vengeful spirits of a dead couple while live-streaming their ghost hunting expedition.
