Vimala and her three sisters run a theatre called Maharaja Talkies. They get in trouble when Pappachan, a rich man, forces Vimala to shut down the theatre.

In the village of Kannadipuzha, Gauri, a young college student, falls in love with Chandran, a married man. However, their affair throws both of their lives in disarray.

The story revolves around the lives of two bosom friends Parvathy and Lekshmi. Their friendship, a love triangle, and subsequent traumas form the crux of the movie.
