Quitterie Duhurt-Gausserès

In the mid-1980s, the GAL, a Spanish paramilitary group, pursues and assassinates members of the terrorist gang ETA who have taken refuge in the sanctuary they have created in the south of France. Grégoire Fortin, advisor to the French Minister of Justice, and Domingo 'Txomin' Iturbe, leader of ETA, are forced to negotiate in order to find a solution to the violence that plagues the region.

Lucie has just moved to Anduze with her son Léo to get away from her violent ex-husband. In the hope of rebuilding her life, she enrolls in a fencing-based therapy program offered by a local association. There, she meets other women who have been sexually abused and develops a sincere friendship with Tamara and Nicole. Little by little, the participants regain their self-confidence. When Lucie's ex-husband resurfaces, she is no longer alone in facing her fears and her past.

This is not how the young Swiss couple imagined their desert trip: on their way to Timbuktu, they break down and are stranded in the Algerian desert of Tar. Oliver is more concerned with the broken truck than with Elena, so she explores the oasis alone. There she meets two women: a mysterious fortune teller and the young Aya. And then there is Saïd's small public telephone exchange, which connects Tar with the outside world. While Elena discovers a new world, Oliver wants to end the trip as soon as possible.
