Hakan and Mehmet are two friends who studied theater and writing at university. They are like brothers, though not related by blood, and can also be described as companions and confidants. During their student years, these idealistic young men were driven by their ideals, but upon graduating and facing the harsh realities of life, they nearly had to abandon their ideals. However, in an effort to prove themselves, they venture into the world of television series production. Meanwhile, Mehmet is also pursuing his great love, Peri, in an attempt to reunite with her. When things get complicated, will they have the determination to see it through to the end?

The film is based on a true story that took place in Düzce in 1954. The spell "Azem," meaning "defender," gives the film its name. The thriller was filmed in a village in Düzce, where the events took place.

Set in Burgazada, the story follows barber Dimitri and retired civil servant Ali Rıza Efendi, who struggles to make ends meet with his family during his retirement years. The story revolves around Melek, Ali Rıza's daughter, and her life as a hairdresser. The film is a drama that connects the characters from two separate stories in a third story.
