Biography
Anuvab Pal (born 27 April 1976) is an Indian stand up comedian, screenwriter, playwright and novelist. Anuvab is a veteran on the circuit, having performed all over India and cities such as London, New York, San Francisco, Dubai and Singapore. He remains the only Indian comedian invited to perform by Harvard University. Anuvab has had three stand-up specials that began in Mumbai and played to sold-out houses around the world: The Empire and The Nation Wants To Know , which sold out 3 shows in New York City in record time. His latest special, Alive at 40, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. He has performed for several corporates and conducts workshops as well, with an emphasis on creativity, He has written the 2007 Bollywood movie, 'Loins Of Punjab', and 2009's 'The President Is Coming'. He is a theatre writer as well, and has several plays to his credit which have played in India and New York, and contributes a column to the ET. He hosted a successful humour podcast 'Our Last Week' with actor Kunal Roy Kapoor, and is currently a recurring guest on one of the most popular humour podcasts in the world, 'The Bugle', hosted by Andy Zaltzman.
