Pak Dolah is forced to accept his daughter Noni's marriage to Basyir, a restaurant waiter. Basyir is received coldly despite his genuine efforts to care for the ailing Pak Dolah during Ramadan. As Hari Raya approaches, Basyir is forced to return to his hometown, leaving Noni and Pak Dolah behind. Only then does Pak Dolah realize his poor attitude in belittling Basyir.
