The critically acclaimed all-woman Japanese acting revue Takarazuka brings Rurouni Kenshin to life, creating a new twist on a globally loved story.

Austria, 1888. Crown Prince Rudolph is bored with the ostentatious royal life in the Austrian court. He is forced into a marriage contract with Stephanie, Princess of Belgium. The couple is incompatible and they live in unhappy discord. Grand Duke Jean Salvadore, Rudolph's cousin, is in touch with the liberals of the realm and his lover, Milly, is a commoner. The Grand Dude has broken the shackles of convention and he enjoys a life of freedom much to his cousin's envy.

Based on motifs in Mérimée's original work "Carmen," Don José is destined to be at the mercy of Carmen. His attraction to her passion is portrayed in this musical work. It premiered in 1999 starring Shizuki Asato and Hanafusi Mari of Cosmos Troupe and won the Excellence Award in the theatre department at the 54th Annual Agency for Cultural Affairs Arts Festival. In 2010, the work was revived by Star Troupe led by Yuzuki Reon and Yumesaki Nene on a well-received National Tour.

Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe's 2023 adaptation is based on Mérimée's original work "Carmen". This story, set in Spain, depicts Don José, a military noncommissioned officer, who is fascinated by the free-spirited Carmen and falls in love with her.

Black Jack: A Lucky Bet is an original script based on one of Osamu Tezuka's masterpieces, "Black Jack". It was first performed in 1994 by the Flower Troupe led by Anju Mira to great acclaim. In November 2022, at the start of the 50th anniversary year of the "Black Jack" series, it was performed again in a nationwide tour by the Moon Troupe. Kanato Tsukishiro plays the role of Black Jack, an unlicensed surgeon with divine skill, dramatically expressing the message of Tezuka's works, such as the deep love for humanity and the preciousness of life.

In Europe in the middle of the 20th century, the close-up magician Sandor is enjoying great popularity in high society. One day when he hears a noblewoman in the audience complain that her beloved dog is missing, he performs magic that gives her a hint of the dog's whereabouts. Shortly afterward, the dog is discovered exactly where he hinted. Sandor is now earning a reputation as a magician gifted with clairvoyant powers, much to the delight of his friends Zsigmond, an inventor, and Gizella, a fortune teller, who work as his assistants. Thinking they can profit from Sandor's clairvoyance, they accept all requests pouring in to the magician.

To the theme of "heat," its various forms are incorporated into this revue, such as in hot rhythms, heated emotions, burning love, and the flames of jealousy. People will gamble their lives in the name of passion. It was performed by Moon Troupe in 2008, led by Sena Jun and in 2009 by Oozora Yuuhi of Cosmos Troupe. A staged piece overflowing with adult atmosphere, a brush-up will be delivered.

The setting is Europe in 1938, where signs of the outbreak of World War II begin to cast a shadow over the land. Fearing the fires of war, waves of people seek refuge from all over Europe to Paris, the only remaining city of light. But no one can guess how much longer that light will last. Ravic, a surgeon, is a refugee from Germany making a living in Paris as an unlicensed doctor. On a cold rainy night, Ravic meets a woman who is standing off in a daze, apparently about to jump off Alma Bridge into the River Seine. He rescues her just in time, and inquires about her background although he isn't very interested.

Based on the novel The Murder of Saint Marco by Shiono Nanami, this is a romantic epic of love and ambition set in Italy in the first half of the 16th century, where a man born the illegitimate son of the former king risks his life in battle for the woman he loves.

In the southwest of England, the ancient Roman spa town of Bath, with its long history as a destination for the upper classes to go for health and rejuvenation, is also suffering from the sluggish economy. Alex Cunningham is a Vaudevillian working at Bath’s small music hall, the Palladium. He strives to soften the hearts of the weary visitors to the town by presenting them with laughter and enjoyment.
