Vergine Keaton

A Tasmanian tiger wanders around in his zoo enclosure. A glacier is slowly melting. Facing its predicted disappearance, nature exerts its fury, bursts over the frame and resists its extinction by transformation.

In the forest, the herd of deer turns against the hound dogs that have been chasing them so far. From this unusual chase, new landscapes arise from the ground. This collage drama was made after an idea from a 19th century engraving.

Animated film installation for exhibition “Opera as the World”

A deer faces its double. The bodies collide, moving forwards and backwards in turn, in vain. Geese, at first feverish, then carried away by violence, will transform this confrontation into a gentler dance.

The last days of her life, an old woman glimpses the history of her origins with a troubled memory. Here begins a voyage towards ancestral land where memories and imagination organize little by little.
