While the original film focused on a young man (Ephrem) who joins a secret group called the "FBI" and navigates a romantic dilemma with a woman named Afyam, FBI 2 escalates the physical comedy and situational humor. The story follows the main characters through a series of misunderstandings and amateur "espionage" missions, often parodying tropes found in Hollywood action films but set within the local context of Addis Ababa.
The family is poor, and the two small children are hungry. The father sets out to find work. A little later in a bakery: a man suddenly shouts "Thief!" and points at the young father. A wild chase begins!
