The documentary presents the little-known story of German and Austrian political prisoners who were forced to serve in a Nazi punishment unit in occupied Greece. Many deserted and joined ELAS, actively resisting fascism.
A unique historical documentary with original material from the DSE film crew, audio documents from the era, as well as newer material and contemporary footage from the DSE's areas of action that is combined with contemporary footage from the mountains and other areas where the DSE's action spread.
