In the turmoil of the Thirty-Years' War, a mysterious soldier appears in a secluded Protestant village claiming to be the heir. His quest for recognition and acceptance are complicated by his secret: under a false identity, false name, and pretense of a false gender, he has made his way to the village. But to achieve her goals, Rose, as the soldier is actually called, will stop at nothing.
Follows singer Klaus Nomi, an important part of New York’s East Village art scene in the 1970s, before his death from AIDS in 1983. Nomi was known for his bizarre theatrical live performances, heavy make-up and unusual costumes.
In early 18th century an African slave boy is chosen by a European Comtesse to be baptized and educated. Reaching adulthood, Angelo achieves prominence and soon becomes the Viennese court mascot until he decides to secretly marry a white woman.
