Beards tells the story of Natalie and Adrian, two best friends who are both in the closet and decide to be each other's beards to avoid coming out in university. After getting themselves into an awkward situation at a party, they have to figure out how to keep their lie going while staying true to themselves.
This romantic comedy takes place on an ocean liner. One of the few unattached passengers is heiress Joan Foster. Joan finds herself in the arms of the ship's second officer. Little does she know that he has been hired by her father to keep other men away from her.
