After a schizophrenic man named Bobo kills two men in self-defence, his lawyer instructs him to turn himself over to the police, who, in turn, place him in a psych ward. Not keen on this development, Bobo escapes and, along with his girlfriend, goes on a crime spree that leaves bodies in its wake.
Monarchist Croatia, sometime during the 1920s. Despite a childhood accident that resulted in perminent damage to her hands, Stana grew up to be a skilled seamstress, which catches the attention of her brother Toma, who sells her off to a travelling circus as an attraction.
