An affective, emotional, intimate and, above all, funny record of this great Brazilian comedian, from childhood to his early death, at age 43, during the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Singer, poet and composer of iconic songs such as "Kátia Flávia" and "Rio 40 Graus", Fausto Fawcett is also the author of five novels and several performances that reveal a vast and unique universe. Starting from real and everyday signs with roots in Copacabana, his work crosses narrative, philosophical and temporal boundaries to establish futuristic visions and sensory experiences that shake up human adventure.

Four love stories which portray a wide gamut of emotions and desires against the backdrop of Rio de Janeiro. "Elephant's Stomp" : the story of a highway patrol officer who is infatuated with a mulatto dancer at a local nightclub. "Drao" : a publicity man and a boutique owner who face a crises in their marriage. "You Are Beautiful" : two homeless teenagers seek love amidst their personal misery. "Samba of the Great Passion" : a book maker who is charmed and captivated by the voice of a female singer coming from a building across the street. Characters in search of love in order to escape from the boredom, loneliness and helplessness of their lives.

American composer Gabriela Lena Frank’s first opera, a magical-realist portrait of Mexico’s painterly power couple Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, with libretto by Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright Nilo Cruz. Fashioned as a reversal of the Orpheus and Euridice myth, the story depicts Frida, sung by leading mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, leaving the underworld on the Day of the Dead and reuniting with Diego, portrayed by baritone Carlos Álvarez. The famously feuding pair briefly relive their tumultuous love, embracing both the passion and the pain before bidding the land of the living a final farewell. Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Met-premiere staging of Frank’s opera, a “confident, richly imagined score” (The New Yorker) that “bursts with color and fresh individuality” (Los Angeles Times).

It portrays the work of Carlos Filho, Cafi, a photographer from Recife, who for more than 40 years has dedicated himself to recording a large part of the events of dance, theater and Brazilian popular music. Recordings, concerts, tours and rehearsals by important artists passed through Cafi's lens.

The Intrépida Trupe was created by dance, theater, music and visual arts artists, who had a passion for the circus in common. The documentary tells, through the story of Intrépida, a little about the history of the circus in Brazil.

Márcia Haydée is a Brazilian dancer of worldwide consecration, known as the "Callas of dance", for her great interpretive power. In her career, she performed at the Ballet of the Marquis de Cuevas (FRA), but it was at the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany under the direction of John Cranko, who in the early 1960s she became the choreographer's muse and was revealed as a great performer and dancer. In the 1970s, after Cranko's death, Márcia took over the management of the company and stayed ahead for 20 years. She worked alongside big names such as Richard Cragun, Rudolf Nureyev, Jorge Donn, Maurice Bejárt, John Neumeier.
