Big World Café was a music show on British television. Broadcast on Channel 4 in 1989, it was presented by Mariella Frostrup, Eagle Eye Cherry and Jazzie B. It was produced by Andrea Wonfor, who had previously worked on The Tube. During the programme's second series, Andy Kershaw was recruited to report on world music. Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford, the men behind Squeeze, have been called everything from the new Lennon and McCartney to the godfathers of Britpop. Now, 35 years after their first record, this documentary reappraises the songwriting genius of Difford and Tilbrook and shows why Squeeze hold a special place in British pop music.

A journey in the passenger seat of the ultimate solo tour. For former Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook, touring meant 18 wheelers, hotel suites and police-escorted limos. Almost 20 years later, like many other established artists, Tilbrook's music now finds its audience through an independent route. In November 2001, to support the release of his debut solo CD, Tilbrook embarked on a different kind of independent route as he took to the road in America: One man, two guitars and a mobile home. "Glenn Tilbrook: One for the Road" follows him on every step of that journey: arriving in the States; picking up his mobile home; performing the shows; meeting the fans; camping at campgrounds; packing away his guitars. All access, all of the time. It's an intimate look at how an established musician adjusts to his new independent surroundings. It's a commentary on the current state of the music industry. But, most importantly, it's a human-interest story that transcends its musical base.

We are excited to announce Squeeze’s first album of brand new music in 8 years: Trixies. Although ‘brand new’ may not be entirely appropriate; written by the teenage Chris Difford (19) and Glenn Tilbrook (16) at the very start of their songwriting partnership, when concept albums and rock operas were de rigueur, the songs are a collection of stories set in a fictional night club, Trixies. Out on 6 March, 2026, the album will be available on black heavyweight vinyl, transparent pink vinyl, a limited edition transparent red vinyl, standard CD, plus an enhanced 2CD + Blu-ray edition with the album, a second CD of the original Trixies demos, plus a Blu-ray of 24-bit HD audio masters, and the album mixed by Bob Clearmountain in Dolby Atmos format.
