This examination of a famous scandal from the 1970s explores the relationship between Barbara Baekeland and her only son, Antony. Barbara, a lonely social climber unhappily married to the wealthy but remote plastics heir Brooks Baekeland, dotes on Antony, who is homosexual. As Barbara tries to "cure" Antony of his sexuality -- sometimes by seducing him herself -- the groundwork is laid for a murderous tragedy.

A couple unable to conceive adopt a girl with a troubled past, who has an imaginary friend called Stevie. After a series of disturbing incidents, they realize that Stevie is all too real.

Victor is a magnetic young boy that survive in London. A chance encounter leads him to Martin and Anna, two artists who share studio and a vital moment. Martin wants to relaunch his career and, while awaiting his brother lives, a former boxing star who wants to return to the ring. Anna is losing his father, after a physically devastating disease. Despite his youth, Victor lead the trio into a situation with unpredictable consequences.

Blending historical reconstruction with very loosely linked ‘dramatic’ scenes and documentary sequences, the film constitutes a playful, painterly sequence of variations on the argument that Johann Sebastian changed the way the world hears thanks to his extraordinary ear for harmony.
