Biography
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Jyoti trained as an Editor at the FTII (Pune). Back in the Mumbai Film Industry, she assisted filmmakers like Kundan Shah, Punkuj Parasher, J.P. Dutta & the duo Abbas-Mustan. As independent writer-director, she won the first Filmfare award for Best Film, for Chutney in 2016 and then, again for Plus Minus in 2018. Jyoti headed Viacom18 Motion Pictures as Creative Head and produced films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Special 26, Queen, etc.
