Biography
Dan Turèll, affectionately nicknamed "Onkel Danny" (Uncle Danny), was a popular Danish writer with notable influence on Danish literature. Influenced by the Beat Generation his work crossed a number of genres including autobiography, beat lit and crime fiction.
Known For

One Big Family is a Danish television series in 12 episodes, first broadcast in 1982-1983. The series was directed by Bent Mejding, while the script was written in turns by Lise Nørgaard, Paul Hammerich and Jane Aamund. The series is produced by Nordisk Film for Danmarks Radio.

The nameless journalist from Murder in the Dark receives two shocks in quick succession. First, his good friend Kurt is murdered, and then his editor-in-chief sends him to the provinces! Here, a prostitute has been killed at the brothel "Paradise." An apparently insane knife attacker has been arrested. But there is something fishy about the whole thing. A picture of the arrested man's attractive defense attorney entices our hero, and he is thus swept into a series of exciting events that take him behind the city's pretty facade...
