In 2025 it will be 80 years since the end of World War II. What was it like to live in Sweden during the war? How were people affected by everything that happened so close to home? SVT has asked the Swedish people to send in their memories: letters, films, photographs and diaries and several thousand responses were received from all over the country.

In the sixties, Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman (1918-2007) built a house on the remote island of Fårö, located in the Baltic Sea, and left Stockholm to live there. When he died, the house was preserved. A group of very special film buffs, came from all over the world, travel to Fårö in search of the genius and his legacy. Nordic design has long been a success story. Now SVT depicts a hundred years of design history, from the Paris Exhibition of 1925 to the Furniture Fair in Milan 2025. We meet passionate design collectors, some of the designers behind the beloved objects and get the story behind the Nordic region’s most famous and beloved design classics.

Silence Records is a record label run by the sound engineer Anders Lind together with Eva Wilke and later also Nikolaj Steenstrup. For decades, the company has provided us with innovative, intrinsic and magical music.

Based on a series of interviews documentary film maker Anders Wahlgren made with architect Sven Markelius in 1969. Sven Markelius was one of the most radical architects in Sweden for many years. Since these interviews were the only recorded interviews made with Markelius we can get some insight into his philosophy 50 years later.
