The story follows Aya from the time she moves to Tokyo at age 23 up until she turns 40. Aya has to adjust to the different values and perceptions of the big city as she struggles with challenging situations. We get to follow Aya’s move from one neighborhood to another as she maneuvers her career and love life.

A bus is driving along a straight road in the quiet countryside. At a stop, a creepy cross-dresser with a shovel gets on board. He immediately smashes the head of one of the passengers and tells the driver to not stop for anything. The murderous transvestite tries to force one of the passengers, Chu-ya, who has met him before, to marry him. The bus quickly becomes a hellish scene as the passengers start to get involved. What will happen on this crazy road of love?

Web magazine editor Mochizuki Nasa meets Yanase Sota who claims to be endowed with a "non-sexual relationship switch". Working as a "rent-a-friend", Sota is hired by Nasa who wants to test out a theory.
