The series follows Marietjie Barnhoorn, the estranged wife of a successful businessman; Leana Steyn, the private secretary of an elderly business tycoon, who is ruthless in her ambitions to overcome her impoverished past; and aging ballerina Mercia Meyer, who returns to South Africa after living and working abroad and has to deal with the hostility of her fellow South Africans.

The film focuses on the tumultuous romance in the lives of four women in The Hague. Teenage daughter Eva, her mother Judith, aunt Barbara and older sister Anna make it under one roof Hague together a nice game of. They are beautiful, courageous and sensible, but sometimes they just do not know in a world full of tender love, serial dating, slaked lust, affairs, children's desires and indestructible old loves.

A concluding movie to the Afrikaans television series that ran for two seasons, this movie focuses mainly on Bruce Beyers after he is released from jail (2 years after the second season ended). Many main characters from the TV series did not return for the movie. The movie also features Steve Hofmeyer's song, "Agter Elke Man", which he wrote for the movie.
