The American professional wrestling promotion WWE has been broadcasting PPV events since the 1980s, when its classic "Big Four" events (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series) were first established with the company's very first PPV being WrestleMania in 1985. The company's PPV lineup expanded to a monthly basis in the mid-1990s following the introduction of the In Your House series of pay-per views before expanding even further in the mid-2000s during the first WWE brand extension. Following WWE's original brand extension in 2002, the company promoted two touring rosters, Raw and SmackDown, representing its television programs, Raw and SmackDown. The traditional "Big Four" continued to showcase the entire roster, while the remaining PPV events alternated between Raw and SmackDown cards. In March 2007, WWE announced that all subsequent PPV events would feature performers from all brands. In 2008, all WWE PPV events began broadcasting in high-definition.

AEW: Rampage, also known as Friday Night Rampage or simply Rampage, is a professional wrestling television program. It is produced by the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and airs every Friday at 10pm ET on TNT in the United States. It is AEW's second weekly television show, positioned behind their flagship show, Dynamite.

AEW Full Gear 2022 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place in November 2022 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and was the first AEW pay-per-view event to be held in the Tri-State area. The event featured the return of wrestler Saraya to the ring after a five-year absence and the return of The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) after they were suspended following an altercation at a previous event.

WWE's annual Thanksgiving tradition showcases the battle for brand supremacy as champions and competitors from both Raw and Smackdown collide. This includes the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day taking on the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions the Street Profits, the WWE Raw Women's Champion Asuka taking on WWE SmackDown Women's Champion "The Boss" Sasha Banks, as well as the WWE Universal Champion "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns versus the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. All Out was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by All Elite Wrestling. It took place on September 4, 2022 in Illinois, and featured fifteen matches, including four on the Zero Hour pre-show. In the main event, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship for a second time. Chris Jericho also won a match against Bryan Danielson, The Elite defeated "Hangman" Adam Page and The Dark Order to win the inaugural AEW World Trios Championship, and MJF made a surprise return and won the Casino Ladder match. The event received mixed to positive reviews and was also notable for a post-show altercation between CM Punk, The Elite, and Ace Steel, leading to suspensions and the stripping of championships.
