Midnight in Marrakech: After Cecile parts ways with her boyfriend, she finds herself alone at the busy nightly Bus Terminal. With nowhere to go, she strays around "Bab Doukkala", an exotic world just outside the Medina, bathed in yellow light. Attracted through the smell of his special cigarette, she luckily gets to know Tarek, the car-park attendant, who introduces her to his universe. We follow them into a little known part of the red city, semi-documentary style.

In an abandoned hut built on the roof of an old building in Tangier lives Tarik, a young Moroccan with no apparent trade or benefit. From there, he studies the comings and goings of the security officers of the nearby port.

Dream and reality are mixed in Wilson's life. He is a young African immigrant from Benin, who sends letters from Paris to his parents. He tells them about his dangerous trip to Europe through the strait of Gibraltar in Morocco, his successful new life in the french capital and its "sea"...
