Edward Lada Laudański (1922-1993) better known as Édouard de Laurot, aka Yves de Laurot, was a filmmaker and writer of Polish/French nationality.

Produced in collaboration with Malcolm X and narrated by Ossie Davis, this call to arms layers revolutionary text from multiple sources with gritty, shot-on-the-streets-of-New York footage of African-American struggle. A forgotten masterpiece from radical filmmaker, theorist and founder of Cinéma Éngagé, Édouard de Laurot.
Black Liberation
a 40-minute reel of original footage by the activist and filmmaker Edouard de Laurot, Lund’s partner and collaborator in the early 1980s. Edited by Lund in the context of an event devoted to de Laurot, which took place at the Cinémathèque française in Paris in 1997, it features production footage for films shot in the 1960s and 1970s but never completed. It has not been shown since.
