Bleacher Bums takes place in the bleachers of Chicago's Wrigley Field. The characters are a bunch of Chicago Cubs fans, watching a game in progress on a summer afternoon.

They're known as the Bleacher Bums, a loud and proud group of fans who watch their team's games from the stadium's cheap seats. Most of them have been attending for years, tirelessly rooting for a team that never seems to win. They know each other, but that's no guarantee that they'll get along. As the game unfolds, the Bums argue, wager, cheer and boo... and discover they share more in common than they could ever have imagined.

Richie Bloom, the only white kid on the block, forms an R&B band with his best friend, Kevin. With the help of their mentor, aging sax legend Percy, they pull together a funky supergroup. Despite few resources and heavy losses this resilient group of dedicated musicians, armed only with wit, sleight of hand and outrageous Chicago bravado must come together to finally make their smash debut.
