In 2029, Korea's lunar probe Woori embarks on a historic journey to the moon, capturing global attention.

In 1999, a robbery-murder case occurs in a small supermarket in Samnye, Jeonbuk province. The police investigation quickly narrows down to three boys from the neighborhood, and these boys are falsely accused of being murderers overnight and are imprisoned without understanding what is happening. The following year, veteran detective Hwang Joon-cheol is newly appointed as the head of Crime Investigation Division. He receives a tip about the real culprits and embarks on a reinvestigation to clear the boys' names. However, the interference of the detective responsible for the case at the time, Choi Woo-sung, leads to everything falling apart, and Hwang is demoted. Sixteen years later, the sole witness of the case and daughter of the victim, Yoon Mi-sook, and the boys return to Hwang, seeking justice...

In 2009, before the movie "Unbowed" was made, they met and planned a documentary about Korean movies, including the processes a Korean movie goes through and difficulites. "Ari Ari the Korean Cinema" is a documentary with interviews of Korean directors, actors and actresses.

On September 4, 1984, democracy movement leader Kim Jong Tae is arrested and taken to an infamous interrogation facility in Namyeong-dong. For the next 22 days, he would be cruelly and continuously tortured in all manners by interrogators intent on forcing him to confess to communist collaboration.

When a bombing occurs during a soccer match between China and South Korea, the two countries are embroiled in a fierce cat-and-mouse chase.

While the government watches everything and everyone, Myonggil and Pyongsok organize a movie club called The Magnificent Seven. Later in life, after Myonggil is released from military service, he goes to visit his childhood friend and finds out that their lives have taken very different paths.

A broadcasting company hosts an actor/actress contest and 30 contestants are pre-selected. Yong-Woo and Eun-Sook are two of them and they are also lovers. Eun-Sook desperately wants to be a TV star and approaches a producer. Yong-Woo discovers this and argues with her. In the meantime, Eun-Sook happens to meet Yu-Suk and spends a night with him, after he tells her that he knows a lot about broadcasting companies.

The movie is about victims of a systemized fraud tracking down the scammers.
