Devrai depicts a story of a man who suffers from schizophrenia and is struggling to come to terms with his illness and the frustration of his helpless sister.

Mr. Joshi fondly known as 'Lathe Joshi' for his skill at working the Lathe machine is left jobless. While his family and the world at large, manage to survive or thrive, he struggles to retain his fading identity.

Pampered by his loving and caring parents, an eight-year-old boy's life takes a turn for the worse when he learns a hidden truth about himself. Soon, he begins to distance himself from his mother.
