Efrat Rasner

Shira is forced to spend the month between high school and joining the army picking peppers in her father's greenhouses. She has not lived with him since her parents' divorce, and their relationship is clouded by charges from the past. Stranger and lonely, in the routine of picking, surrounded by Thai agricultural workers, she begins to find a sense of belonging and home.

Shira, a young woman, is travelling by bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. When someone sits down next to her, she is suddenly forced to navigate her way through a confusion, of guilt, relief, compassion, and alarm, and to make some difficult decisions.

Hagar works at a photo store where she converts old video tapes to new digital files. A lonely, quiet young woman, she finds herself fascinated by watching the videotapes people have forgotten to pick up. A young man she sees in one of these tapes haunts her, and when she tries to find him, the search turns into a life-changing journey.
