Biography
Swintha Gersthofer (born 1985 in St. Gallen, Switzerland) is a German actress working in theatre, film, and television. She trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, graduating in 2011, and quickly established herself on major Austrian stages. She was an ensemble member of the Landestheater Niederösterreich from 2012 to 2016, earning a Nestroy Theatre Award nomination as Best Newcomer, and has been part of the ensemble at Vienna’s Theater in der Josefstadt since 2016. Alongside her acclaimed stage work, Gersthofer has appeared in numerous television productions, including SOKO Donau, SOKO Kitzbühel, SOKO Köln, and Die Rosenheim-Cops.

A team of inspectors investigates murders in and around the small Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim, and they still have plenty of time to see idyllic landscapes and luxurious pre-alpine villas and enjoy sumptuous Bavarian fare with beer.
