However, strange occurrences have led him to believe that the project has been polluting the river since his childhood. He then embarks on a surreal investigation that forces him to confront his grief.

Maria takes care of her father's sled dogs and watches clips of teenagers skateboarding in L.A. One night, she follows Vincent - the guy who puts up the tiles on the front of her house - to the trailer where he lives. She then finds herself embroiled in some strange business...

After an abortion which has left her emotionally shaken, Rosalie returns to the village where she was born. She rediscovers her grandmother's house and garden abandoned, the vigour of her best friends, her first love, and encounters the latter's new girlfriend. She tries to stay the course without creating any waves.
