The lives of the now 20-something NEET Matsuno sextuplets and the bizarre adventures they find themselves into in the modern day.

In a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan, skyscrapers, trains and motor bikes have replaced the simple life of Earth inhabitants. One man however, still carries the soul of a samurai, Gintoki Sakata, otherwise known as Yorozuya Gin-san. As reckless as he is, Gintoki carries his own resolve and is ready to take on any challenge with his fellow companions.

The sextuplets attend a high school class reunion. There, they see all their former classmates who have become "proper" adults with company jobs. The sextuplets sulk about this and go home and drink until they fall asleep. But when they wake up, a certain scene awaits them.

The Matsuno sextuplets go to an island in search of the mythical "shining fruit".

The Matsuno sextuplets invite Totoko to their house for a takoyaki party that ends up turning into a sleepover.

Genzo is a monk on his way to Tianzhu (early East Asian name for India). Along the way, he happens to visit a house and meets an old couple. The couple has an adopted son, Taro Yamada (Kenichi Matsuyama). They ask Genzo to rehabilitate Taro who makes trouble with his magical power. Genzo takes Taro and travels to Tianzhu.

Therefore, these Charismatic men have temporarily come to live under the same roof, embracing their Charisma and nurturing it to new heights with each passing day. Surely there are those in this world who might laugh at them. However, they’re far too Charismatic to be affected. In fact, adversity becomes their fuel to further generate Charisma, allowing them to accumulate a splendid “Charisma Charge”. And awaiting once the Charge is full is…!? An ordinary person simply couldn’t understand, but this is the story of the Charismatic.
