Biography
Tony Pastor, Jr. was an American movie and TV writer, director, composer, sound editor, casting director, and more, born in 1938. The son of singer/saxophonist Tony Pastor, Pastor, Jr. got his start as a teen actor and singer (alongside his father and his brother, singer Guy Pastor), but he was drawn to other creative outlets. Initially unable to get work in Hollywood, he began working in adult film as a writer and director (under the alias Antonio Shepherd), but after two films he got the break he was looking for as a creative supervisor for children's television animation, where he spent the rest of his career. He worked many different jobs - as a story editor, as a voice director, a casting director, and even composed songs. Pastor, Jr. died in 2020 due to complications of COVID-19.
