A Croatian crime television mini-series by Roman Majetic. The plot begins with the assassination of the Croatian Prime Minister and follows efforts to uncover the perpetrators, with the help of police and other security services from neighboring Serbia and Montenegro.

In a small European country, the king is scheduled to visit a small, quiet and "safe" village. It turns out that while the village may indeed be small, it's neither as quiet nor as safe as it's expected to be.

Budimir and Zlatko are two partners advocates. Apart from being business partners they also share a family connection. Budimir was married to Zlatko's late sister and is now living with his daughter Mia and his mother-in-law Dika, Zlatko's mother. Due to exceptional circumstances Zlatko loses his house and moves in with his mother, brother-in-law and niece.

The two worlds are different

Four very different people live in the same building but avoid each other because of differences in how they live their lives, what they believe in, and where they come from. They would probably never exchange a word, but misfortune pushes them towards each other. Their lives entangle in ways that profoundly challenge deep-held beliefs and prejudices surrounding material status, sexual orientation, nationality and religion. Slowly, and even painfully, they begin to open up to each other and recognize the essential humanity each of them possesses.

The plot of the series follows two lawyers, Nenad and Zijad.

His roaming through Europe left him in a rather distraught state and he is now in search for his identity and peace of mind. As a child of five, he was, literary taken from his birth-place and now - bereft of his parents and family, he will try to solve the puzzling event of his childhood. Thus, in this place where so many unusual things have happened which may have had an influence on the dramatic destiny his family has suffered, he turns attention to himself by to his personal investigation. The town is, however, threatened by the river which already has sunk a good part of the cemetery. Along this threat an unexpected plot, in the genre of a film noir, thriller and horror - a certain «fantasy of soul», develops.
