In the desolate wilderness of the disappearing islands along the Brahmaputra river, 12-year-old orphan Afrin is coming of age. When heavy rainfalls and flood waters ravage Afrin's island, she refuses to surrender to its deadly tides. Afrin rows herself in a wooden boat toward the teeming metropolis of Dhaka to find her estranged father among the millions of climate refugees. Forced to grow up fast, Afrin must confront the mysteries of a sinking world.

'A Place for Everyone' explores the human geography of a Rwandan village two decades after the genocide. Survivors and killers still live next to each other and a new generation of young Rwandans has grown up in a society that under goes a fragile reconciliation process. Filmed over the course of more than four years, 'A Place for Everyone' provides an intimate portray of two young Rwandans, a girl of the survivors group and a boy of the killers group, in their quest for love and hate, revenge and forgiveness.

Set in an abandoned coalmine at the Turkish border, Kani Shingal? weaves together the dramatic stories of Yezidi refugees following ISIS attacks and the kidnapping of more than 3000 women and children. The story is told in raw cinematography from the parallel perspective of 3 generations of Yezidis.
