The fire department is preparing for the New Year. Three activists of amateur performances decide to kidnap professional artists for a New Year's concert. A police captain investigates the kidnapping and listens to complaints from the “unkidnapped” artists.

Lyuska, an employee of the only savings bank in the very young town of Radiozavodsk, wins a nylon fur coat on a lottery ticket. Her colleagues advise her to get the money and buy something useful. Lyuska goes to the regional capital, receives the money, and decides to spend it on a two-week trip to Moscow.

The film is based on the best choreographic numbers from the performances of the Leningrad Music Hall, songs of pop stars and romances performed by popular singers. The concert numbers are united by the storyline of the participation of all performers in the filming of a musical comedy film.
