A group of young men from the upper-middle class in modern-day Italy, bored from the activities of everyday life, participate to a simulated-war "Wargame" match played with Soft-Air gun replicas, only to find out that the opposing team is a group of foreign mercenaries on the loose that takes such occasions for training and gratuitously killing innocents.

A man approaches in a car from the garage of a house, gets out of the car, and stops in front of the house. As if he were a fool, he tries to open the garage, but fails because he does not have the keys. This provokes some laughter from the audience, given the man's awkward and confused attitude. Suddenly, the screen experiences technical difficulties and the entire scene disappears into complete darkness, until signs protesting against cuts to culture appear.

Set in a country church on a hot August day is an ironic and crude analysis and staging of the unwritten laws of prejudice and of meanness, in the society of appearance. In the perspective of "do it but do not say", the micro-stories of all the characters are alternated with the omnipresent co-protagonist of the story: the heat. The young bride, the greedy priest, the hedonist nun, the old women of the village, the femme fatale, the witnesses of the spouses, the relatives, the various guests and the groom himself tell with twists and sympathetic snapshots of almost Pirandellian humor timeless history where the clichés of a corrupt and indifferent society parade on the notes of the wedding march.
