Biography
Ian Hunt-Duffy is an award-winning filmmaker from Ireland. Having graduated from the National Film School Ian established Failsafe Films in Dublin. His IFTA Nominated and Oscar long-listed short 'Gridlock' won 60 awards at over 150 film festivals worldwide, including Best Director at the Savannah International Film Festival, and a Young Director Award (YDA) at Cannes Lions. In 2018, Ian was selected for the prestigious Berlinale Talents in Germany as a director, before winning the Discovery Award In 2019 at the Dublin International Film Festival. In 2022, Ian directed his debut feature film 'Double Blind', a psychological horror/thriller for Screen Ireland and Epic Pictures, releasing theatrically in 2024. 'Double Blind' was nominated for 11 Irish Film & Television Academy Awards (IFTAs), including Best Film and Best Director, with Ian also being nominated for the IFTA Rising Star Award and the Bingham Ray New Talent Award.
