Following the clues of a map, a boy and some adventurers go into the forest in search of treasure from the pioneers, and end up going back two centuries in time, in search of the legendary Minas dos Martírios.

Evandro Souza is an engineer and travels for the first time to the interior of the country, in the village of Barreira Pequé, on the banks of the Araguaia River. He begins to make friends with the natives of the region, like Marão, but what he did not expect was to be involved in a murder. Evandro was the only witness to the crime committed by Marão, however, when questioned, he does not know what to say. Until there is a meeting between Evandro, Marão and the local corporal.

In a petrol station near the road, three characters meet: Rita, the station's owner, that keeps searching for a love that she thought she once had; Wésley, a seller of pirate DVD's and CD's that, after thrown into underemployment, is trying to rebuilt his life; and Caburé, that haven't slept in years waiting to redeem a past of life and death. Gathered by an apparent coincidence, they weave their fate until they discover what is common in their stories.
